One-a-Day: Day 45

Storm's a-brewin' over Lake Superior.
This is by the Houghton Breakers near my parents' house.

One-a-Day: Day 44

Couldn't resist! Had to do another one of my little nephew.

One-a-Day: 40

I spent the day at the beach with my family and our very close family friends. I had a lot of fun shots today, but this one was my favorite; my sister Kimi Lynn. Love you sis!

One-a-Day: 37

One of my favorite pictures so far! This is my 18 month-old nephew, Jackson.

One-a-Day Catch Up

I apologize for not having posted in a few days! I flew home to Michigan early Friday morning to spend two weeks with my family. I have been taking so many pictures everyday that it's hard to narrow down which one to choose as my photo-of-the-day. I might not get a chance to post everyday, but we definitely try if I get the time! It's been a wonderful trip home so far!

One-a-Day: Day 36

On the drive home from my grandparents, we stopped at one of my favorite places; Mackinaw City. This is a view of the Mackinac Bridge that connects lower Michigan to the Upper Peninsula. This is also where Lake Huron and Lake Michigan meet.

One-a-Day: Day 35

We threw a baby shower for my sister while we were in lower Michigan. This is a photo of my Aunt Ev, my Maggie (Grandma), my grandma's good friend Marion, and my Aunt Jeanne at the shower.

One-a-Day: Day 34

We had a bridal shower for my cousin Bobby's fiance, Sarah. My mom made her this apron out of one of Bobby's old shirts. Each button on the apron came from grandparents, great-grandparents, and great-great grandparents of the family she will soon be a part of!

One-a-Day: Day 33

My passion for photography came from my uncle who is also a photographer. I spent the afternoon at his house and we talked photos and looked through his collection of old cameras. It was so much fun!

One-a-Day: Day 32

Just happens to be my initials.

One-a-Day: Day 31

I went with some friends to the beach after work and got back just in time for the storm to hit the beach.

One-a-Day: Day 30

The Oriental Delight in Dover, NH is one of my favorite places to catch up with friends over great sushi. It wasn't until recently that I looked at the business hours posted on the front door. Do you notice anything peculiar about their closing time? Just thought it was a little funny.

My favorite flower. Photo taken from my beautiful birthday bouquet.

One-a-Day: Day 28

I had to laugh at these two guys who jumped out just as fast as they jumped in!

One-a-Day: Day 27

I am very blessed to have such awesome friends. They threw me an amazing surprise birthday party out at New Castle Commons this weekend! We barbequed, swam, played pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey, limboed, threw the frisbee and more! It was a wonderful day! I had so many great photos to choose from today, but decided on this simple one of a colorful kite flying in the park.

One-a-Day: Day 26

I found this sitting on my kitchen counter when I woke up on my birthday.

One-a-Day: Day 25

Beach trip after work with my girls to kick off a 3-day weekend!

One-a-Day: Day 24

Gelato at one of my favorite coffee shops, Breaking New Grounds, in Durham. So delicious!

One-a-Day: Day 23

The Portsmouth fireworks were postponed until yesterday, so I went with some friends to watch them. The best seats in the house were at the cemetary. So, we wondered around and looked at the old gravestones while we were waiting. This is my friend Morgan reading one of the headstones. I think the blurry outline of the photo gives it an almost eerie feel.

One-a-Day: Day 22

Happy birthday America! 4th of July fireworks.

One-a-Day: Day 21

Chasing rainbows. Sunday evening was sunny with a few sprinkles, so I drove around in search of a rainbow and found it. What I like about this photo is the contrast between the man-made power lines and the beauty of mother nature.

One-a-Day: Day 20

The view from my beach towel where I spent my entire day on Saturday.

One-a-Day: Day 19

Street musician at the Portland First Friday's Art Walk in Portland, ME.

One-a-Day: Day 18

Spotted this little fella while walking in the woods after work.
