One-a-Day: Day 73

Last night I went to see Of Monsters and Men in concert in Portland, ME. It was an awesome show! Thank you to my friend Chelsea for the belated birthday present!

Today was Lobsterfest 2012! Our friends Corey and Morgan hosted us for the second year for a delicious lobster dinner. Thank you Corey and Morgan!

One-a-Day: Day 70

My friends and I got together on Friday to watch the opening ceremony of the Olympics.

One-a-Day: Day 69

While walking around campus, I spotted this little guy jumping out of a dumpster with his prize treasure of a corn cob.

One-a-Day: Day 68

We had a surprise going away party at work today for one of my co-workers and friends.

One-a-Day: Day 67

Our old admissions office was torn down today. We all stood outside to say good-bye to Grant House. We will miss you!

One-a-Day: Day 66

This week was my last week of my summer grad class. I am now 1/3 of the way through my Masters!

One-a-Day: Day 64

This is my friend's awesome dog Brewski showing off for us!

One-a-Day: Day 63

I spent this weekend at a friend's cabin up in Maine. It was so gorgeous and relaxing. The first night we were there, we watched the neighbor take off in his ski plane across the lake.

One-a-Day: Day 62

Tonight I walked around the pond in Exeter with friends,
and listened to a little country band play in the park.

One-a-Day: Day 61

Yesterday I happened upon an antique car show in the Applebees parking lot.

One-a-Day: Day 60

After work on Tuesday I headed to the beach.
It was a great place to relax and read my grad school books.

One-a-Day: Day 59

I came back from Michigan on Monday, and as hard as it was to say goodbye to my family, it was nice to come back to my great friends.

One-a-Day: Day 58

Today was my last day in Michigan. My sister brought my niece over to do a fun little photo shoot. Well, Edyn got a little sick of photos by the end! I did take some really cute smiling ones of her, but this one just got at my heart strings. Being a model is tough work! She stopped crying about two seconds after this picture.

One-a-Day: Day 57

My dad playing with his grand kids. How cute are they?!

One-a-Day: Day 56

Storm coming in quick across Lake Superior!

One-a-Day: Day 55

My brother and I drove to Marquette yesterday to go cliff jumping on Presque Isle. I had never done it before, so I was definitely nervous and excited at the same time. I ended up jumping three times! However, I did not do any fancy jumps like this guy did!

One-a-Day: Day 54

Last night we met up with our very close family friends The Bishops for a pasty dinner (a Yooper traditional food) at the beach. It was so great to see them!

One-a-Day: Day 53

It just doesn't seem like summer until I go to one of my brother-in-law's baseball games. Here is Steve swinging away!

One-a-Day: Day 52

We went to my aunt's house on Lake Superior for an afternoon of beach fun. My two-and-a-half year old nephew said, "Auntie Bethie (although he does not quite pronounce it that good), my eyes are burning" and then put his hand out for my sunglasses. How could I say no to that cute face?! So here is Jackson enjoying his popsicle with his auntie's sunglasses on.

One-a-Day: Day 51

My whole family was together tonight to celebrate my 28th birthday. I am so incredibly blessed to have such an amazing family!

One-a-Day: Day 50

It's hard to believe it has been ten years since I graduated from high school! Eighteen of us and our families met up for the reunion out at McLean State Park. It was a perfect day outside and great to catch up with everyone.

One-a-Day: Day 49

My niece Edyn Macie was baptized today. My mom baptized her in Lake Superior with family and friends surrounding her. It was a perfect celebration!

One-a-Day: Day 48

My mom, aunt, and I went to one of our favorite beaches for an evening walk
and to look for beach glass.

One-a-Day: Day 47

I spent the 4th of July out at my aunt and uncle's cottage on Lake Superior. We swam, kayaked, grilled, and watched an awesome storm come in across the lake.

One-a-Day: Day 46

Yesterday my parents and I ventured up to Copper Harbor; one of my favorite places. We drove up Brockway Mountain, got Mackinaw Island Fudge ice cream at the Berry Patch, and picnicked on the beach. Our golden retriever, Milly was a happy dog!

One-a-Day: Day 45

Yesterday we drove the 10 hours from my grandparents in lower Michigan to my hometown in Upper Michigan, and we stopped at the Mackinaw Bridge for a break. The bridge connects both the peninsulas of Michigan and is also where Lake Michigan and Lake Huron connect.

One-a-Day: Day 44

On Sunday, we had a big family gathering on my dad's side in memory of my grandpa who passed away two years ago. We all met up at a park and brought all of my grandpa's favorite foods for a huge picnic! This is a picture of my two cousin's little girls. They were telling secrets and then laughing hysterically. It was so cute!

One-a-Day: Day 43

I am on vacation back home in Michigan for the next two weeks. I flew into Grand Rapids on Saturday to spend the day with my grandparents. This is a picture of my precious little niece Edyn Macie and my grandpa (her great-grandpa).
