One-a-Day: Day 21

I took a vacation day on Friday and spent it exploring Boston. I went on my first duck boat tour, had a great dinner and wandered around the city. While walking past Fenway, the man at the ticket booth said they had a couple of tickets left and since it was the top of the 3rd, we could get them for 50% off. Having never been to a Red Sox game, I jumped on the deal. We had seats right behind home plate. It was awesome!

One-a-Day: Day 20

Day 20 signified one month until my 10-year high school reunion. I cannot believe it's been 10 years! Sometimes it feels like time has escaped me and at other times it feels like a life away. So, for this occasion, I decided to take a picture of my senior yearbook.

Photo-a-Day: Day 19

Can you guess what this is a picture of?
I will give you a hint: I went to the "Scooper-Bowl" in Boston today!

Photo-a-Day: Day 18

Spotted this little bird and his friends hanging out in the parking lot of my apartment building.

Photo-a-Day: Day 17

Another rainy day made for a cool raindrop picture.

One-a-Day: Day 16

It was another rainy day today. I invited my friends over to do our nails and watch trashy reality shows all afternoon. It was perfect!

One-a-Day: Day 15

Yesterday was a cold, rainy day, so it made for a perfect evening to go over to some friends' house for dinner. These were the amazing gluten-free cupcakes my friend Julia made. Some were filled with lemon custard and some with peach jam with a homemade butter cream frosting on top. Well done Julia!

One-a-Day: Day 14

While relaxing out in my friend's backyard yesterday, we spotted this little inchworm.

One-a-Day: Day 13

On UNE's campus, there is a seal rehabilitation center. Here is one of the little seal pups. He has his identification tag on it's head and a satellite on it's back. When they release the pup into the waters on the edge of campus, they can then keep track of how it's doing.

One-a-Day: Day 12

I am just returning from two great days at the annual NEACAC Conference at the University of New England in Biddeford, ME. It is just one more reason why I love my job! It was a great conference. The campus sits on the edge of the water and is really gorgeous. This is a photo of one of the flowers right along the water's edge.

Photo-a-Day: Day 11

Today I went with my friend Sherry to trade in her car for a gorgeous new one. This is her saying thank you to her old car for all the good times.

Photo-a-Day: Day 10

A lot of times photography is about being in the right place at the right time. For example, on your way to grab a coffee with a friend, you happen to see a cow dressed up for Memorial Day going for a walk in downtown Durham. Yup, that is what happened today. Happy Memorial Day everyone!

Photo-a-Day: Day 9

I spent a great afternoon walking around Newburyport, MA today during their spring festival with a friend. We finished the day off with a great dinner overlooking the harbor.

Photo-a-Day: Day 8

Yesterday was a gorgeous Saturday. On my way home from spending the day relaxing on the beach, I spotted this little park that I hadn't noticed before. Here is a view from the park.

Photo-a-Day: Day 7

This afternoon I headed over to the Registrar's office to sign-up for my summer grad course. I have a habit of taking my camera with me while walking around on campus, since there are so many great things around to photograph. On my way back to the office, I spotted this little pine cone pod (not sure of the scientific terminology).

Photo-a-Day: Day 6

This might be one of my favorite Photo-a-Day pictures I have taken! It just cracks me up. This evening my friend Katie took me for a ride on her motorcycle. Chelsea wanted to go for a ride too, but her vehicle of choice was to ride her broom. :)

Photo-a-Day: Day 5

Campus is so quiet now that the school year is finished. I took a walk around this afternoon and although the campus feels empty with out the students, the beautiful flowers everywhere seem to bring it to life. I had a hard time choosing which flower picture to post today, so I am sure to take more floral pictures in the next couple of weeks and post them!

Photo-a-Day: Day 4

It was a drizzly rainy day here in New Hampshire, and what better way to spend it than having a girls dinner! My friend Katie's little 4 month-old puppy, Miami, was stuck inside with all those girls. I caught him just looking out the window longing to run around in the rain.

Danny and April's Engagement Session

A few months ago I had the pleasure of photographing my dear friends Danny and April for their engagement photos. We took their photos at a bridge in Dover and then downtown Dover where they met. They are such an awesome couple and I was so happy to be a part of this day!

Photo-a-Day: Day 3

Sometimes photography is about looking at the ordinary things are turning it into a beautiful picture. I always challenge myself to look for things that might go otherwise unnoticed. Tonight I attended a college panel at the Derryfield School in Manchester. While on my way back to the car, I spotted this colorful rope tied around a pole and decided to turn it into art.

Photo-a-Day: Day 2

Summer is here! Yesterday was a gorgeous sunny day and I took advantage of it by hitting up the beach with some friends. I even jumped in the ocean! It was definitely chilly, but can't wait to do it again. Here is my friend Fernando and in his sunglasses you can see the reflection of me and two other dear friends, Chelsea and Sherry. We had a great day!

Photo-a-Day: Day 1

What better way to kick off the photo-a-day challenge than with an adorable baby picture? This Saturday, my good friend Sherry graduated from the University of New Hampshire with her Master in Education. We had a cookout at New Castle Commons to celebrate the event. This is another friends little boy, Tucker. He was very happy to be a part of the celebration!

Photo-a-Day Summer Challenge Begins!

Hi everyone!

Well, it has been a very busy spring and I am finally back to updating my blog!

I have not done a photography challenge in a while and enjoyed last summer's photo-a-day challenge so much, that I wanted to do it again. I started the challenge on Saturday, since it was the last day our UNH students were here on campus before they headed off for the summer. So, the challenge will run from graduation day until the first day of the school year. Enjoy!

It's Been Way Too Long!

I have definitely been taking plenty of photos in the past few months. I just haven't been as good about uploading them. Here are a few of my more recent shoots.

This is my new niece: Edyn Macie Lishinski. She is so gorgeous!

I did a holiday photo shoot for the Short Family who I babysit for. We had so much fun!

A couple of months ago I had the privilege of photographing a co-worker and friend of mine during her last few weeks of pregnancy. She was absolutely beautiful!
