Summer Photo-a-Day: Day 74

My niece and dad were playing "models" tonight. Edy would copy all the poses my dad did. It was so adorable, I couldn't choose just one!

Summer Photo-a-Day: Day 73

As I was playing in the backyard with my niece and nephews yesterday, we came across this bug dragonfly. At first we thought he might be dead, but very slowly, he began to move his legs and then eventually flew away.

Summer Photo-a-Day: Day 71

Last night I finally got to see our finished family cabin. My parents (with lots of help from family and friends) built it last summer. I saw it when it was about halfway done when I was here last year, so it was great to see the finished product. We ate pasties (a Yooper food), played cards, and went for a deer ride. We each took bets on how many deer we thought we would see. I bet 18. We saw 16, so I was pretty close! This was one of them. Last night we had a huge thunderstorm, which was so fun to watch through the big cabin windows. This morning was chilly, so we snuggled up inside the cabin with a fire in the wood stove. We had an awesome time!

My little nephew Silas, who has now earned the nickname "Smi-las" because he is one the happiest babies I have ever seen. I just love his little toothy grin.

Summer Photo-a-Day: Day 69

One of my favorite places in the world is one the shores of Lake Superior. My mom, grandma and I went out to my aunt and uncle's cottage on the lake for the day. It was so relaxing! This was our view during the sunset.

Summer Photo-a-Day: Day 68

We went over to my sister's for dinner the other night. My niece Edy wanted to show Grandpa one of her favorite books. I just love the way she is looking at him in this picture.

Summer Photo-a-Day: Day 67

My nephew Jackson wanted to pollenate all the flowers on my mom's garden just like a bumblebee.

Summer Photo-a-Day: Day 65

Started out as a cool morning at the beach, but turned out to be a gorgeous day in the end.

Summer Photo-a-Day: Day 64

Yesterday some friends and I went to a wine tasting at a new(ish) Winery called WindRoc. While walking around the vineyard we came upon this; a bunch of dead beetles all on the same grape leaf. It was so weird.

Summer Photo-a-Day: Day 63

Went with friends to see Shrek the Musical in Prescott Park. It was super cute!

Summer Photo-a-Day: Day 60

I got to see one of my favorite artists, Sara Bareilles in concert in Boston! One of the coolest parts was FaceTiming my mom in for it!

Summer Photo-a-Day: Day 59

For my birthday, my friend Chelsea took me to a Paint Nite. I had never been to one before. I think we did pretty good!

Summer Photo-a-Day: Day 58

Had lunch with friends on the decks in Portsmouth today and watched the tugboats head out of the harbor.

Summer Photo-a-Day: Day 56

One of my favorite little families! Our admissions office had to say good-bye today to a great co-worker and a great friend today. We celebrated his new job with a party after work. Danny is leaving our office and heading on to a new chapter in his life. Although I will miss him like crazy in the office, I am so excited for him in his new position.

Summer Photo-a-Day: Day 55

Not a great quality photo, but it's what the picture is of that means a lot to me. Two of my friends and I surprised our friend Jaclyn with a baby shower out at a restaurant. We weren't able to make it to her actual shower, so we decided to bring our own shower to her. I am excited to meet Baby C soon!

Summer Photo-a-Day: Day 54

A sneak peek at my photo shoot tonight with my great friends, Meagan (and Larry). Can't wait to meet baby Brynn soon!

Summer Photo-a-Day: Day 53

The best part about having a July birthday is getting to spend it on the beach.
And it's even better spent with friends!

Summer Photo-a-Day: Day 52

These eyes have seen some pretty awesome things in the past twenty-nine years.
Excited for what they will see in the next phase of my life. Bring on the big 3-0!

Summer Photo-a-Day: Day 50

My friends are amazing! They surprised me with a 30th birthday BBQ on Saturday. To say it was an amazing birthday celebration is an understatement. I felt so loved and so blessed!

Summer Photo-a-Day: Day 49

Went to friends' house for a 4th of July lobster bake up in Maine. Although it was pouring rain, we had a great time.

Cherries for lunch? Okay!

Summer Photo-a-Day: Day 46

This little horned bug landed on my hand while going for an evening walk last night.

Summer Photo-a-Day: Day 45

I love our Monday night Girls Night tradition!

Summer Photo-a-Day: Day 44

Sunday we capped off a fun afternoon celebrating our friend Stan's birthday with a wild game of bocce ball in the park.

Summer Photo-a-Day: Day 43

I felt incredibly blessed to be able to officiate the wedding of these two very special women. Here is a shot of their first dance. Congratulations Beth and Joan!

Summer Photo-a-Day: Day 42

Not a bad view for lunch! If you are in the area, I highly recommend eating at the Green Bean located behind the Wentworth Marina. The food is great and you get a gorgeous view on the deck.

Summer Photo-a-Day: Day 41

My brother and I spent his last day in New Hampshire exploring some of the old forts in the area. At Fort Stark we walked down to the rocky beach to watch the terns diving into the water for their lunch.

Summer Photo-a-Day: Day 40

Our second day in Acadia we headed out to Jordan's Pond. It was so beautiful. As we walked along the trail we watched a mother duck swim along the edge of the pond with her little fluffball baby sitting on her back. As we were almost back to the start of the trail we had a very close encounter with a curious little deer! It was a great day!

Summer Photo-a-Day: Day 39

My brother and I ventured up to Acadia National Park in Maine for a couple of days. And a couple of days just wasn't long enough! This place is gorgeous! It's always been on my bucketlist, so what better way to check it off then with my brother? Here is a picture from the Wonderland Trail near our campground.

Summer Photo-a-Day: Day 38

I am so happy that my friend of over 20 years is expecting her first baby! Congratulations to Emily and Reid. I will definitely miss only living one hour away from you, but am so happy for your exciting move back home and even more excited to meet your little one soon!
